Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas!
Las Vegas - Nevada - USA My Home Town… Fabulous LAS VEGAS, The Entertainment Capital of the World!!! |
|
Las Vegas is, without doubt, a dazzling diamond in the desert! Spend a little time here and you will fall in love with Las Vegas and all it has to offer! Just when you thought that you knew all there was to know about the town dubbed "The Entertainment Capital of the World", you will be surprised and amazed by the number and quality of "off Strip" family attractions that this supposedly "adult-oriented" town has to offer! Indeed, Las Vegas is home to some of the most spectacular stage shows and musical concerts in the world, as well as being a focal point for those interested in the ultimate in shopping experiences. Las Vegas also has the last word in quantity and quality of hotels while being "home" to a myriad of unabashedly superb championship golf courses.

Mt. Charleston and Lee Canyon |
But what about family life? Is there anything to do outside of the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip? Once away from the bright lights, you will discover a completely different world: Red Rock Canyon's (20 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip) striking and unique rock formations inspire both the avid photographer and the rock climbing enthusiast. Nearby Mt. Charleston Recreation Area (35 miles northwest of Las Vegas) is part of the Toiyabe National Forest and is home to year-round outdoor activities, including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, horseback riding, youth camps, and sleigh rides. To the south and east of Las Vegas is Lake Mead National Recreational Area (25 miles from Las Vegas), a hub of activity for those who are interested in all facets of water sports.

Brian Head |
Las Vegas is a fabulous base from which to explore the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, the Utah Shakespearean Festival, Brian Head Ski Resort, Death Valley, Pahrump Valley Winery, Boulder City, Hoover Dam, Floyd Lamb State Park, Valley of Fire State Park, Lee Canyon, Bonnie Springs/Old Nevada… to name but a few relatively close attractions and varied outdoor sporting destinations.

With more than 50,000 people relocating here each year, Las Vegas has become one of the fastest growing cities in the country. All these people cannot be wrong! Lured by an almost perfect climate, the relatively low cost of living, the booming local employment market, the business-friendly environment (no corporate income tax or franchise, inventory or unitary taxes), and the fact that there are no personal state income taxes (because tourism accounts for almost one-third of the state's annual tax revenue), people arrive and thrive in Las Vegas. In fact, with a continual annual growth rate of 2.3%, Las Vegas is ranked the number one metro area for income per capita by the U.S. Commerce Department's Economic Analysis Bureau. Living in a community with a smaller tax burden means that Nevadans can hold on to more of their hard-earned cash! |
